We depart from Marrakech and drive 200 km through the Atlas Mountains and the TiziN-Ticha pass. Our first stop is Ait Ben Haddou, a 16th-century fortress classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Many great films have been shot there such as Gladiator, Laurence of Arabia, and Kingdom of Heaven. We then stop at Ouarzazate (the capital of cinema). After lunch, we cross the Rose Valley and the kasbah route. We arrive at Dades Gorges around 18:00 pm. We spend the night in the Gorges.
After breakfast, we visit the valley and the Todra Gorges. We continue to Tafilaliet, with its 18th-century ksours and then continue to the ruins of Old Sijilmassa (Rissani), the first capital of the Alouite Dyansty in the 7th century. In the afternoon, we go to the dunes of Merzouga desert and stop for mint tea with the nomads. We continue the journey with a camel ride to enjoy the sunset. A dinner and night in the Sahara luxury camp.
We wake you up half an hour before sunrise to see magical lights of the sunrise. After you have a shower and breakfast, we ride camels back to the car and drive back to Marrakech from Merzouga via Rissani, Tazarine, the Draa Valley, Agdz, and Ouarzazate. You will have free time for lunch on the way. We arrive back to Marrakech around 18:00 pm.
